PANJIM: The State government Wednesday formally approved the Goa Liberation Golden Jubilee one-time bonus for government servants and pensioners.
Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar told reporters that all the pensioners and government servants would also be getting benefit of the Golden Jubilee bonus, which was announced by the erstwhile government.
New entrant into government service, who have completed one year as on December 19, 2011, will also get the one-time bonus.
The IAS and IPS officers who were in service on December 19, 2011 and still continue to serve in Goa will also be given the bonus, Parrikar said.
State government will have to shoulder additional financial
burden of Rs 35 crore to pay this monitory benefit.
The bonus would be disbursed along with August or September salaries, Parrikar stated.
Digambar Kamat government had announced the bonus to C and D class government servants during the 2011 Liberation Day parade held in Panjim. But the actual disbursement of the money had not begun. Parrikar-led government had assured to fulfill the promise by allotting additional funding for the purpose and extending the bonus to all government servants.
