Old Goa: Chief Minister Digambar Kamat on Saturday night assured that all security measures were in operation as part of the high alert notice in the State, following the terror attacks in Pune.
“We are taking all security precautions in this matter. Naka bandis (police picketing on roads/highways) has been ordered all over the State,” said Kamat, while speaking to Herald along the sidelines of a private function at Carambolim.
When contacted, North Goa SP Bosco George, who was personally supervising the naka bandi operations, stated that a high alert had been sounded in the State.
“We are patrolling and checking all sensitive areas as well as the check points in the State,” said SP George. (HC)
